Our “Disco Deewane” cup is dedicated to the “Queen of Pop Music” – Nazia Hassan. The pop singer and sweetheart of Pakistan was born on April 3^rd, 1965 to a reputable family in Karachi, Pakistan. She took the stage for singing early at the age of 10, while her incomparable success began with “Aap jaisa koi” song from the Bollywood movie “Qurbani” in 1980. The influential singer, along with brother Zoheb Hassan launched their first album, named “Disco Deewane” in 1981, which became a meg-hit not only in Pakistan and India but also hit in America, West Indies, Latin, and Russia. The album and song broke the business records of any album in Pakistan and India, selling over 65 million records worldwide.

This great human, also known as Lady Diana of Southeast Asia, was graceful, intelligent, and beautiful. Even today Nazia’s songs continue to mesmerize millions of her fans.
